One H.O.P.E. Summer School Program
Rigor, Relevance, Relationships: Strategies for Elevating Youth Achievement
Our program is designed to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that will not only educate but inspire them to be actively responsible in their families and community. We will implement services that are filled with experiential, hands-on learning, collaboration, excitement, and topics in STEAM. Students will have opportunities to choose clubs and activities that they are interested in along with required English language arts, math, and social-emotional classes. There will also be a culturally specific and culturally relevant field trip every Friday.
We will serve students who have completed 2nd grade to students entering the seventh grade who live in Northeast Portland and surrounding areas. The program will take place at One H.O.P.E Fellowship located at 5425 NE 27th Ave. between June 28-July 23, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. A light breakfast will be served as well as lunch.
Tentative scheduling:
Academics: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Lunch: 12:00-12:30 pm
Elective Classes: 12:30-3:00 pm
