Bob

Bob was born in Glendale, California, and grew up in different towns on the West Coast, finally settling in Portland. He came from a musical family as his mother played piano and sang, and his father played drums and sang.

He played drums, trumpet, and piano in high school and college. He majored in art while attending Walla Walla University. He was a member of the Christian rock bands Change of Heart from 1982 to 1986, and Versus 1986–1995, in which he was a founding member. Versus and worked as an engineer/producer
at Northstar Recording.

Then, moved to Nashville after winning the 700 Club/Starsong Records New Artist search. Those bands recorded several albums and toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Singapore, and Malaysia while playing for events such as the Billy Graham Crusade, Youth for Christ events, summer festivals, and youth rallies. He then returned to Portland and has led worship at various churches.

Bob’s passions include cartooning/illustration, snow skiing, water skiing, the Portland Trailblazers, and the LA Rams. He’s always had a passion for sharing God’s love through music and art, and continues to pursue that passion while leading worship at One Hope Fellowship.
