Moses

I am from Compton, California, and my wife, Janice, and I have three children and eight grandchildren. Growing up with my father, Moses, a welder, and my mother, Estella, a nurse’s aide, I was guided by their values and my faith in Jesus, which kept me away from the negative influences in my neighborhood. I was saved at age nine.

My passion lies in teaching the Bible and sharing the Gospel, which I strive to incorporate into every aspect of my life. Following my dream, I became an engineer and moved to Cornelius, Oregon, in 1979. After 15 years in engineering, I fulfilled God’s plan by becoming a teacher.

We relocated to NE Portland in 1992, where I taught high school for 25 years and also at private colleges for 5 years. I have actively served in various church roles, including Sunday school, VBS, and as a deacon and elder. Our family feels richly blessed and loves serving at ONE H.O.P.E. Fellowship.
